How It Works: The 5-Step Clipacore System

Our revolutionary system is designed for tool-free operation, allowing you to change core bits in seconds.

Step 1: Select Appropriate Adaptor: The process begins at the power tool. A Clipacore Drill Adaptor (QCDA) is fitted to a traditional extension bar or directly to the core drill itself. Alternatively, for a more integrated setup, dedicated HEX or SDS Driver Adaptors can be used to connect the system directly to the drill's chuck.

Step 2 & 3: Line Up Apertures and Secure the Connection: The Drill Adaptor (or extension) is connected to the Core Adaptor with or without an extension bar. All components feature precision-machined apertures that are lined up by sight. A U-shaped Quick Release Clip is then inserted through these apertures by hand, creating a secure, rotation-locked connection. This step completely removes the need for spanners, saving time and preventing the over-tightening that leads to seizing. You can use our Clipacore Extension bar or get an adapter for your own.

Step 4: Screw Diamond Core Bit onto Core Adaptor: The Clipacore Core Adaptor (QCCA) features a standard $1/2^{\prime\prime}$ BSP female thread, making it universally compatible with the vast majority of professional diamond core bits on the market. A standard core bit is screwed onto the QCCA, instantly upgrading it for use within the quick-release system.

Step 5: Insert an A-Taper Drill Bit: For precise, centred drilling, the Core Adaptor is designed to accept an A-Taper guide pin or pilot drill bit. This ensures the core bit engages the material exactly where intended, preventing "walking" or skidding at the start of the cut.

Step 6: Core with confidence - Drill your hole. When finished, the components release instantly, preventing seizing.
